As of April 23, 2018, 11367.3 hectares of land were prepared under spring crops in the republic at which sowing was implemented on 8260.0 hectares including 3247.7 ha of corny (including maize), 376.0 ha of buckwheat, 3347.4 ha of oilseed, 167.7 ha of legumes, 735.4 ha of vegetable crops (including potatoes) and 385.5 ha of perennial herbs.

Compared to previous years, there is a positive shift in the improvement of the structure of sown areas, which is very important for the use of crop rotation.

In addition, the varieties of spring crops have been expanded: they’re buckwheat, sunflower, flax, soy, clot, lentil and perennial herbs.
