Another Batch of Breeding Bulls has been provided
Another batch of breeding bulls has recently been given to the farmers for the increase of local herd productivity.
It has already been given 73 head of breeding bulls within this year, while 400 head of breeding bulls through favorable conditions have been given since 2011 till today.
It is considered to be a successful and perspective plan in the sphere of animal husbandry and the results are tangible: if a cow milk yield was 1961 kg in 2011, then it already became 2148 kg in 2015. Indeed, all this may not be referred only to this program as parallel to it artificial insemination and the improvement of fodder base were conducted and are being continued.
It is essential to add that for the increase of local herd productivity breeding bulls are given with 50% of the value of subsidy, maturity of five years and on condition of three-year compulsory retention. It is important to note that the breeds, born in the result of crossbreeding of local cows and breeding bulls, have high productive qualities.
The chief of the department of animal husbandry and veterinary Norayr Musayelyan mentioned that activities are conducted for qualitative changes of the herd successfully.
