The works to control the activities of economic entities participating in the food chain are continue

From August 23-27 the State service of food safety, market and protection of consumer benefits of the MEA has recently monitored 18 economic entities in the Republic.
There were violations in the observance of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Artsakh by the food chain participants in 4 economic entities and the service specialists gave instructions to the instructed the economic entities that committed violations and set deadlines for their elimination.
During the same period, the service specialists conducted 3 educational and methodological visits around Stepanakert to 89 business entities and 3 temporary business entities engaged in mobile trading were registered.
Measurements of the maximum residual content of nitrates in fruits and vegetables were carried out and expired products were found.
A total of 5070 kg of maximum nitrate residues was measured in fruits and vegetables, of which potatoes – 600 kg, tomatoes – 740 kg, cucumbers – 475 kg, watermelons – 2180 kg, melons – 495 kg, grapes – 250 kg, onions – 330 kg. Measurements show that the maximum amount of residues in plant products is comply with government approved standards.
According to the results of control works, only 53,176 kg remained of expired products, of which meat products – 35.92 kg, dairy products – 8,665 kg, sweets – 3.5 kg, other products – 5,091 kg.
Expired products were liquidated on the spot in the presence of business entities.
