   Irrigation works of summer crop sown areas and orchards are being implemented in the republic. The irrigation process of  winter cereal grain sown areas has finished.

 According to the information by companies organizing the irrigation process, as of May 24, 2018, 1540.5 hectares were irrigated with gravity in Askeran region: 1423.3 hechtares are cereal grain, 113.5 hechtares are orchards, 3,6 hechtaes are perennial grass, 0,1 hectares are vegetable crops.

   489,30 hechtares were irrigated with gravity in Martakert region: 421,00 hechtares are winter whet, 41,40 hechtares are winter barley, 26,9 hechtares are orchards.

   130,96  hechtares were irrigated with mechanical method in Martuni region: 28,7 hechtares are orhcards, 66,5 hechtares are tobacco, 29,0 hechtares are vineyard, 6,76 hechtares are vegetable crops and 94 hechtares were irrigated with gravity of which 6,5 hechtares are pomegranate gardens, 0,5 hechtares are tobacco, 50 hechtares are vineyard, 29 hechtaes are maize, 8 hechtares are sunflower.
