About the work done by the State service of food safety, market and protection of consumer benefits of the MEA

On 1-15 September the State service of food safety, market and protection of consumer benefits of the MEA of the RA has recently monitored 3 economic entities in the country according to the results of which no violations were recorded.
During this period, monitoring was carried out on 20 economic entities, as a result of which violations of compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the RA for persons involved in the food chain were registered in 5 economic entities. The economic entities that committed the violation were given instructions and the deadlines were set for their elimination.
There were 4 educational-methodical visits to 41 economic entities, as well as 1 educational-methodical visit to preschool educational institution of the capital of Artsakh.
Measurements of the maximum residual content of nitrates in fruits and vegetables were carried out expired products were found. Measurements show that the maximum amount of residues in plant products is comply with government approved standards. In total 3390 kg of the maximum residues of nitrates in fruits and vegetables were measured, of which potatoes – 450 kg, tomatoes – 365 kg, cucumbers – 215 kg, watermelons – 1530 kg, melons – 420 kg, grapes – 410 kg, as a result of the control, 97,018 kg expired product were found, including meat – 23,698 kg, other products – 73,320 kg.
Expired products were liquidated on the spot in the presence of economic entities.
