On February 25 Norayr Musayelyan together with the head of the Askeran region Hamlet Apresyan participated in the annual report on activities in 2021 of the head of the administration of the Askeran region.
It was spoken about the work done in the field of agriculture in the community in 2021. Touching upon them, the minister welcomed the unprecedented activity in laying greenhouses and gardens in the community, and also drew the attention of those present to the fact that the arable land of the region is not being processed in full.
In addition, given the low yield of grain crops, the minister advised to pay attention to the cultivation of perennial fodder crops, due to their high value and profitability. At the same time, they can serve as a good precedent for cereals in a crop rotation scheme.
Calling on the population to become more actively involved in the programs implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Norayr Musayelyan briefly presented their focus and content.
“I ask you all to treat the agricultural resources we have with understanding, use them carefully and as rationally as possible. In order to encourage this approach, we plan to establish a list of bona fide beneficiaries who will use state support programs on more favorable terms, and unscrupulous beneficiaries, on the contrary, will be deprived of the opportunity to use them,”- the minister said.
Norayr Musayelyan answered the questions of the residents and listened to their suggestions.
During the visit, the Ministers was accompanied by Deputy Ministers Tigran Arstamyan and Vilen Avetisyan.
