Frequently asked questions
How does the acquisition process of pedigree bulls occur? In order to increase the level of productivity of local herd and develop pedigree cattle breeding, the Ministry of Agriculture organizes the sale of breeding bulls (according to the list of bidders presented by community leaders to the district administration). On what terms does the sale of breeding bulls occur? The sale of breeding bulls takes place in a privileged manner: by 50% subsidy of market price, without interest, for a period of 5 years with prerequisites of keeping the bulls for 3 years. How is artificial insemination of farm animals implemented?Artificial insemination is implemented due to valuable semen of bulls of Flegvi, Schwyz Holstein, Aberdeen Angus breeds, free of charge. For more information, please contact the representative of the company Card AgroService Armen Tsatryan who carries out the process of artificial insemination in the NKR. Tel.: (097) 29-19-29 Which organization deals with the implementation of agrochemical studies of the land?Agrochemical research performs “Plant protection service” SNCO of NKR. Interested persons may obtain further information by calling / 047/944468 number. What ways can be found to restore and improve soil structure?A person influences on natural restoring processes of soil structure through agrotechnical and meliorative measures. The correct sequence of agricultural crops plays an essential role in crop rotation. A favorable factor for the improvement of soil structure is the separate sowing legumes and a joint sowing with the last grain – in the form of an herbal mixture. The use of fertilizers, different ways of soil processing are considered to be the measures for preventing degradation as well as improving ones, to some extent, especially in the soil physical mature stage when it is easy to be processed and is broken well.Whereas, in the case of wetlands and dry land cultivation structure decomposes. What methods and quantities are utilized for potato fertilization and when? There are two methods of potato fertilization: local and pervasive. Local method is applied for planting potatoes in the wells, holes and pits; pervasive one- for plowing, backset of plowed fields or cultivation. Fertilization through local way increases saving outgo of fertilizer, and together with it increases the harvest. In case of pervasive method, manure, phosphate, potassic fertilizers are put under plowing fully and 1/3 of nitrogenous fertilizers, remaining 2/3 is given in the form of feeds. Feeding should be done during pervasive germination (when the sprout length is 5-8 cm) or before the formation of cocoons and the second-before potato bloomes. Fertilizers for potatoes, as nutrition, should be put between rows during cultivation or hilling and if possible immediately water them. When determining the amounts of fertilizers it is necessary to take into account soil-climatic conditions, previous ones, etc. For instance, in foothills, mountainous areas and dry conditions it is recommended to put 150-200 kg of ammoniacal saltpeter per hectare, double superphosphate- 150-250 kg, potassium salt-100-200 kg, manure- 35-45 t/ha. While fertilizing potato fields it should be taken into account that high ammounts of nitrogenous fertilizers, particularly their unilateral use has a negative effect on plants, starch content in tubers decreases, taste quality worsens, plants lose their immunity and the most important thing is that quality of planting material suffers. What amount of fertilizers is used for tomatoes, peppers and eggplants? It is necessary to give 30-40 tons of organic fertilizers (manure), 250-300 kg of ammonia saltpeter, 200-250 kg of double superphosphate and 150-200kg of potassium salt. Crop fertilization should be done at moderate standards for avoiding the accumulation of nitrates and nitrites in products harmful for human health. More accurate amounts are determined by the data of agrochemical analysis of soil. Against which pests are intended control measures by state resources?Control measures within the framework of state programs are intended against murine rodents and acridoid pests. The appropriate poison is provided to the NKR regions for the purpose of performing struggle work against murine rodents. And the struggle against acridoid pests is organized by “Plant protection service” SNCO of NKR as well as by farmers through provision of poison. What are the safety rules for the use of fertilizers? The workers with fertilizers should be provided with uniforms and personal protection means (goggles, rubber gloves, respirators, rubberized aprons). On what land does the program of bare fallow spread?According to the program of bare fallow, 40000 (forty thousand) AMD is provided by state support in the administrative borders on 1 hectare of arable land allocated for the use in the legal form of ownership and lease (for arable land, allocated to the land user in the legal form of a lease – no more than 25 hectares) and gratuitously (permanent), and the lands of state reserve fund under bare fallow are exempt from fees calculated for the year. What requirements are put for the import of crop seeds from abroad? The import of crop seeds to the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh is allowed in case they are inteded for the scientific research and the activities of sort experimentation as well as the imported variety is registered in the list of varieties permitted for the use and the certificates on high quality batch of seeds and qualitative characteristics given by the competent organization of the exporting country are represented. How to acquire new agricultural machinery or equipment? There are 2 ways to acquire agricultural machinery: through NKR Rural and Agricultural Support Fund (FVAS) and through the Bank. To acquire agricultural machinery or equipment through NKR FVAS it is necessary to submit to FVAS: -application, -a recommendation from the administration and expert of the given region Agricultural machinery or equipment, after acquisition by Fund, is provided to the applicant in the form of leasing or direct purchase. Payment period is up to 10 years depending on the value of machinery or equipment. To acquire agricultural machinery through Bank, the latter checks the certificate given by Fund and other necessary documents then it acquires agricultural machinery or equipment from the supplier and gives it to the borrower/applicant in the form of leasing. In this case, the Fund in its turn subsidizes 50% of the rate set by the Bank. How is tractor driver certificate gained? To acquire tractor driver’s certificate it is necessary to apply to the State Inspectorate of Agricultural Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture of NKR, introducing:
The applicant, after successful completion of the theoretical and practical examination stages, gets tractor driver license within three working days paying 3000 AMD state duty (for tractor driver license).
